On behalf of the First Lady of NYC, Chirlane McCray, we thank you for joining us and over 2,500 houses of worship and community-based organizations nationwide for our 4th Annual Thrive Weekend of Faith for Mental Health!

During the Weekend of Faith, clergy and community leaders will devote time, wherever they worship and live, to discuss how stress and depression affect mental health. We encourage all leaders to lend their voices to help people learn more about these challenges. Together we can eliminate the stigma of mental illness and addiction, and promote available resources in our communities.

In the coming weeks, we will share a toolkit that provides you with:

  • Key points on mental health that you can share during your weekly sermon, teaching, or community activities
  • Literature you can distribute to your house of worship
  • Tips for spreading mental health awareness on social media

The Thrive Weekend of Faith for Mental Health will run from May 16-19, 2019. We are asking you to:

TALK: Encourage and nurture open and honest conversations about mental health

TEACH: Share the educational information from the Faith/Community Leader Toolkit

PREACH: Use the Toolkit's Discussion Guide to frame messaging on mental health to include in your sermons.

POST: Use the Toolkit's Social Media Guide to share messages of awareness or support on social media

In order to coordinate our efforts, we ask that you provide us with the following information:
